George F. Cassidy Jr., age 76, of Toms River died on Friday, May 31, 2019 at home. Born in Paterson, he lived there before moving to Toms River in 1962.
Prior to retiring in 2014, Mr. Cassidy was the owner/operator of Sunoco, Wall Township for many years. He played in the Our Lady of Lourdes Drum and Bugle Corps in Clifton.
He was predeceased by his wife, Carol, in January. He is survived by his children, George Cassidy III and his wife Mary of Beachwood, Kimberly Frazee and her husband Frank of Forked River, and Ryan Cassidy and his wife Nikki of Toms River; her grandchildren, Samantha, Justin, Jacqueline, Alexis, Caroline and Paige; and his sister, Margaret Gamella of Florida.
Services were private under the direction of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
