Carl Ishmael, of Pickerel, died May 24, 2019 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was 78 years old.
He was born April 4, 1941 a son of the late Harlos and Bertha (Autofolk) Ishmael.

He graduated from Bradford High School in Kenosha and worked as a forklift operator in, Waukegan, Illinois.

Carl served with the United States Army for six years having served in Viet Nam and was stationed in Germany.

He enjoyed watching WWE wrestling, Animal Panet, and Investigation Discovery.

Survivors include his wife Laura (Dankart) Ishmael; a daughter Jamie Marten of Antigo; a granddaughter, Summer Rose Marten-Spencer; a brother-in-law, Chuck (Brenda) Dankert of Milwaukee; 2 nephews, Richard (Nichole Durret), Ehm, Sr. of Clintonville, and Chuck Dankert, Jr.; 2 great-nephews, Richard Ehm, Jr.; and Mason Ehm; and his friends Lisa Pritchett of Pickerel, and Desiree Prichett of Antigo.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday June 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until services at the funeral home.
