Rose Marie (Ver Heul) Gragg, age 62 of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Knoxville Area Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of The Nazarene in Pella, Iowa. Burial will take place at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Rose (Ver Heul) Gragg Memorial Fund and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com
The daughter of Marvin Carroll and Nancy Ruth (Moore) Ver Heul, Rose was born on July 1, 1956, in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1974. On December 17, 1994, she was united in marriage to David Gragg at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Rose worked most recently in the kitchen at the PCM High School. She enjoyed her dog, Brady, bowling and going to Sprint Car races in Knoxville. Rose also loved sports especially Iowa Hawkeye and New England Patriot football. She also enjoyed and supported PCM and Pella High School sports. Her greatest joy however, came from the time she spent with her family.
Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband, Dave; three children, Candy Marie (Eric) Slycord, Amy Jo (Matt) Johnson and Christopher David Gragg; a granddaughter, Amber Rose; her father Marvin (Linda) Ver Heul; siblings, Ruth (Tim) Sparks, Robin (Tim) Forst and Ronda (Larry) Reimer. Rick (Diane) Van Gorp, Mark (Lorie) Van Gorp, David (Jennifer) Van Gorp; and many niece's nephews and friends. Preceding Rose in death was her mother, Nancy Ruth and mother and father-in-law, Betty and Francis Gragg.
