Frederick R. Kramer
January 16, 1947 - June 17, 2019

Frederick Raymond Kramer, 72, of Maquoketa, Iowa, entered the presence of his Savior on Monday, June 17, 2019, while at his home in Maquoketa, Iowa.

A celebration of Frederick's life will be held at 11 A.M., Monday, June 24, 2019 at Cedar Street Baptist Church in Tipton, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 A.M. until service time at the church. A graveside service and burial will be held at 2 P.M., Monday, June 24, 2019, at Esgate Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.

Frederick Raymond Kramer was born on January 16, 1947 in Peoria, Illinois, to Raymond George and Josephine Kathleen (Hayes) Kramer. He grew up in Bellevue and graduated from Limestone High School. He then attended Grace Bible Institute in Omaha, Nebraska and lastly Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. He married Doris Ann Springer on May 24, 1969 in Gibson City, Illinois. Three children were born to this union, Teresa, Amy and Philip.

Frederick had been a pastor at various churches for many years. He then worked at WALMART in Maquoketa for 14 years in the Sporting Goods Department until retirement.

Frederick devoted himself to the reading and studying of the Bible. He took frequent walks with his family, enjoying his time in God's creation. One of his favorite pastimes was restoring barn lanterns.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Doris Kramer of Maquoketa, IA; children, Teresa (Darby) Davison of Maquoketa, IA, Amy Kramer of Ankeny, IA, and Pastor Philip (Kayla) Kramer of Norwoodville, IA; 2 grandchildren, Ezekiel and Evelyn Kramer; and a sister, Carol (Charles) Crocker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Phyllis Eddy.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Frederick R. Kramer memorial fund has been established.
