"I will never forget the hours spent and the miles walked hunting quail with Uncle Bob and my dad. Another great memory is the two summers that I spent working for Uncle Bob driving the mowing machine in the hay fields all over the area around the farm. I will always remember him as a principled, religious man who demonstrated his faith and beliefs in all his affairs. The sacrifices he made in his own life to help our grandparents after the car accident were the perfect demonstration of just that.
Thank you Uncle Bob for everything you taught me about life and faith.
God bless,
Rick Mueller"

"On behalf of Denise and I, and our whole family we extend our love and deepest sympathy to the Ferguson clan for the loss of Uncle Bob.
I cannot think of Bob without a smile crossing my face. Although our contacts were few and far between in recent years, he is burned into my memories from younger days. His rye wit and infectious smile were as ever present as his serious side. Bob held strong convictions and beliefs and was fearless in standing up for what or whom he believed in.
A lighter story occurred on a family visit to the old Ferguson home place in Buda some 45-50 years ago. I had the opportunity to hunt quail with Uncle Bob and his older brother Marvin (my granddad) along the fence rows. Walking the old lane in front of the house, we were walking abreast, and I was keyed up as several quail had flushed in front of us. As we edged forward, with a cat like move, Uncle Bob dropped to one knee and snatched up a quail that had not flushed. The only time I ever saw anyone bag a game bird without firing a shot!
Over 92 years Bob touched so many lives in great and small ways. We are all the better for knowing him. He will be missed but not forgotten. Godspeed Uncle Bob!
Lovingly,
Ed Hodnett"
