Anne Roussos wrote on Nov 4, 2018:

"My deepest sympathies to the family of Carol Remey. I got to know Carol at a gym in Austin, where we would ride the bikes. We both had children of similar ages, and we both loved dogs, so we had many memories and experiences to share. I admired Carol for her fierce independence, her commitment to principle, and her devotion to family. It was a privilege to have known Carol. Anne Roussos"

Richard F. Brauer Jr. Col, USAF (Ret) wrote on Nov 4, 2018:

"Lynn and I are truly heartbroken to hear of Carol's passing. We were privileged to know and have as friends Carol and Bob while he and I served on the Ninth Air Force HQ Exercise Planning staff at Shaw AFB, SC from 1973-1976. We worked hard and yes, partied equally hard during these years as well. Carol was a wonderful mother to her three children Catherine, Christine and Robert Jr. and always a joy to be around. We remained geographically distant friends over many years and were blessed on several occasions when they stopped by to visit and reunite with us at our home in NW Florida or meet us for dinner. We shared many laughs and memories of our times together at Shaw AFB on these occasions. Carol, as a military spouse and mother, served our nation as well as anyone who has ever worn the blue USAF uniform. She is a "veteran" in the truest sense and was extremely proud of her son's and daughters' distinguished service in the USAF as well. We will always remember her beautiful smile and her laughter and we know that she is now united with and seated directly behind her "Silver Fox" (as we called Bob) as they fly through the heavens in his beloved F-4 Phantom jet. God Bless Carol and Bob and may they rest in peace. Richard F. ("Dick") Brauer Jr, Col, USAF (Ret) and Lynn Brauer dickbrauer@cox.net lynnbrauer@cox.net"
