He was truly compassionate and caring. His patients and colleagues are weeping at the loss of this great doctor. He was also a tremendous family man. An amazing father and husband. He was so excited for the coming of his third child. It was all he talked about. I cannot express the loss we all feel and cant even imagine the loss for his beautiful family. "I work with physicians as their liaison at Baylor Scott & White. Dr. Babineaux and Dr. Welch have always been such a pleasure to be around. Dr. Babineaux has always been so caring & compassionate to not only his patients but all of his colleagues. The stories I have witnessed first hand and heard from the people who worked closest to him in the past week since he passed is not only heartwarming but a testimony of a life well lived in love and kindness. He left an entire hospital staff with a wonderful example of how to treat others who can do absolutely nothing for you in return- that is Christ like love. I miss him dearly and I hope to live in a way to be more Like Mike "

"I was his PRN nurse at the GI clinic, Dr. Babineaux was such an amazing doctor, and friend! He always worried and made sure his nurses were well taken care of. He and Dr. Welch were the first providers that I have ever seen were boots with their scrubs. When I saw this I chuckled and thought well... we are in Texas Dr. Babineaux will always hold a special place in my heart as my favorite doctor to work with very easy going. My heart aches for his loved ones he left behind. Prayers for the family."

"I met Dr. Babineaux when he came to Marble Falls to tour the hospital with his friend and colleague, Dr. Welch. As the operating room manager, it was my honor to get to know him and spend time with him. It became apparent not after that we were so very fortunate to have them both. He was a gentle soul that cared for every patient, a good friend with a great sense of humor, and he couldn't sneak up on anyone thanks to those boots! No man ever smiled bigger when speaking about his wife and children. The world truly is a lesser place without him. Butterfingers and tootsie rolls in heaven, Doc. I'll miss you my friend.

"I was one of Mike's GI faculty members at UTMB during his Fellowship with us. Mike and I were close and communicated openly and honestly with one another. He knew that I thought a great deal of him and wanted only the best for him and his family. Like others, I was so proud of him when he passed his Boards and had settled into a productive and rewarding practice. My heart goes out to his wife, children, parents, and to all his family and friends."

"I was managing the GI department at Marble Falls when Dr. Babineaux joined our team. His sense of humor along with his jokes kept us all in smiles. On a trying day I could rely on him to come into my office and sit down for a chat or joke. It was an honor to work with a provider who was compassionate for his patients as well as the staff he worked with. Dr. Babineaux was quick to speak of his family and his love for them was apparent in everything he did. Such a great loss to the BSW family. My prayers are with the family and loved ones of this great guy."

"I met Michael like I met most of the other Doctors I worked with at Scott & White; we scheduled a day to drive to many of the medical clinics around the Hill Country for a series of meet and greets when he first moved his practice here to Marble Falls. In the 4-6 hours we spent in the car that day, we talked extensively about life, family, politics, sports (LSU was a big topic there), and his goals for his practice going forward. Through our conversations, I got to know a man that loved his family, his friends, and the career he chose for himself. While I have since left the hospital where we once worked together, I never forgot about Michael, or the gregariousness and compassion he showed the minute I met him. His loss is tragedy for this community, and I send my deepest condolences to his family, friends, those that loved him most.
Rest in Peace my friend."

"Dr Babineaux was one of the kindest doctors we have had the pleasure to know. My daughter has seen many, many specialists in her time and Dr Babineaux was by far one of our favorites. He took the time to listen to her and cared about her personal life as well as her medical history and considered her personal life goals into her treatment plan. He will be greatly missed and unreplaceable. Prayers for his family."
