Judy Elise Garner, 75, of Kyle, TX passed away with her family at her bedside on October 25, 2017. Judy was born November 26, 1941 to James and Elise West. She married the love of her life, Wayne V. Garner on May 6, 1961. Together they raised 3 wonderful children as an Air Force Family. Judy enjoyed spending time in the mountains of north Georgia, fishing, gardening, playing cards, and bowling. Judy loved her family. With 11 grandchildren, all of whom had different talents and interests, she became very involved with FFA, football, baseball, soccer, cheerleading, comedy, singing, and acting. Most of all, Judy loved the Lord. She touched many lives by sharing the message of salvation through Celebrate Recovery and Prison Ministry. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; James and Elise West; her husband, Wayne V. Garner; granddaughter Brittany Elise Plant and sister Bobbie Ann Brooks. She is survived by her children; Talina Plant and husband Jim of Kyle; William Vance Garner and wife Kathryn of Spicewood, TX, Niki L. Whatley of Bastrop, TX, 11 grandchildren; Joshua Plant and wife Camille, of Orlando, FL; Meagan Garner and fiance Kyle Cobern of Leander; Jason Plant of Waco; Courtland Garner of Canyon Lake; Brittny Whatley of Kyle; Jacob Garner of Spicewood; Katie Plant of San Marcos; Brandon Whatley of Red Rock; Brook Whatley of Bastrop; Bailey Whatley of Bastrop and Liam Garner of Spicewood. 2 great-grandchildren, Vera Whatley of Kyle and Sawyer Plant of Orlando, FL. 2 brothers, James M. West and wife Carolyn of Austin; Jim West and wife Pat of Fort Worth; brother-in-law Steve Brooks of Corpus Christi; sister-in-law, Donna Bailey of Mountain City, GA; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of cherished friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rajesh Shetty, Dr. Hilda Draeger and the wonderful nurses, doctors and respiratory therapists at Seton Medical Center Hays, for caring so well for mom for so many years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Judys honor to Hays Hills Baptist Church 1401 N FM 1626 Buda, TX 78610 (Indicate on the check that the donation is for Prison Bibles)
Funeral services are entrusted to Harrell Funeral Home of Kyle, 1715 Kirby, Kyle, TX. "Judy Judy ~ Judy you are so missed, by me & my Family which was your Family, we all love you. You've left me, but you had to go, I know!! Our Favorite things to do was gathering for lunch, sharing everything thing worldly close & personal, shopping, just visiting even was enough. We will miss you, though we will 'keep that empty seat' always for you to show up in spirit. Enjoy your Freedoms. I will always look up toward the Brightest Star in the sky, & Smile."
