"Mike was one of my very best childhood friends. You could not find one without the other except on rare occasions. As soon as we met in grade school we clicked. It broke my heart when he decided to move to Austin, yet I was excited for the new opportunities he would have. A short time later I had an opportunity to visit him in Austin and had the time of my life.
Jackie became a great friend to me as well. I only wish I had an opportunity to have met their children.
Unfortunately life took us in different directions. I will carry the memories we made together with me forever. I have missed him greatly and now I am deeply saddened that I will not get a chance to see him again and share the friendship, more so, the brotherhood we once had.
The only photo I have is a school trip from 6th grade. We went to Springfield to visit the capital building.
Love ya Mike.
James"

"You couldn't be around Mike without smiling. He found humor in everything and no subject was off limits. I knew him through Kim, so didn't see him often, but I'll always remember the laughs. I pray for peace and blessings for his family and hope that memories of the happy times with Michael will replace the pain and sorrow that is felt now. God bless."

"Though I only got to know Michael these last three years it was easy to see how much he loved his family. No matter how he was feeling, Michael always lit up when he talked about Cami, Gage & Tyler. Jackie, he called you solid and said that you were his rock. Kim, I saw you be the best big sister anyone could ask for. He laughed often when he spoke of you, then again maybe he was laughing at you. I'll miss his dry wit and think of him often, especially every time I see a Mountain Dew.
Love & prayers, Kris Fuentes"
