Frankie was a student at Allan Jr. High and later Austin High School and a member of the Austin Maroon band, she played the clarinet and loved the football games and marching in parades.
She married Jacob William Wallace Sr., "Jake", the love of her life on March 4, 1954. They raised their three children Mary Ann, Pama Lee and Jake, Jr. here in Austin. Jake was a respected Ironworker with the local union 482. Jake was a Master Mason, 32nd degree Scottish Rite and a member of Onion Creek Masonic Lodge #220 here in Austin.
He and Frankie owned Capital Construction for several years.
She worked for Tracor for most of her life, then for her friend and boss, Chase Baromeo and finally, Mike Samford & Associates.
Sometime after having their children, Jake started racing cars at Austin's local stock car track, Austin Speed-O-Rama, as well as Pan American Speedway, Texas World Speedway, along with several other tracks around Texas. It was a family sport. In 1981, they owned and operated with their family, Austin Speed-O-Rama. Frankie loved it, but it was too much for Jake. They both loved NASCAR events. On March 23, 1998, Frankie's world crashed, when she lost the love of her life. So, in Frankie's unfortunate years without Jake, she lived for NASCAR season, especially after their grandson, Eric Wallace went to work for Jack Roush and became an incredible over the wall pit crew member. She was looking so forward to watching the Daytona 500.
Frankie was quite the race car driver herself, she won many Powder Puff races and was very proud the year she won the local short track NASCAR Chamionship! She was tough to beat on or off the track, she even flipped over one night. Now, we must mention that two of her three children also raced, Jake, Jr and Mary Ann, along with her dearly loved, son-in-law, H, five of her grandchildren, Heath Stewart, Eric Wallace and Kristen "KT" Wallace, Daniel Stewart, Jr. and Brad Naumann continue to this day. Always making her so proud! Frankie lived for her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren, they were her world!

"I was eighteen years old when i first met Frankie and Jake at the old Pan Am Speedway in San Antonio Texas. Frankie was the number one person to beat in the Powder Puff Derby and I did it when I was nineteen. We kept it secret for years that the only reason I beat her was because Jake forgot to put gas in her car. It all came out at a Halloween Hayride at their place on fagerquist when I showed her the newspaper clipping from the newspaper. Frankie jumped up on the table and told everyone she had something to say. It got quiet and she proceeded to tell how how " I got beat in San Antone by this chick standing right here and the B...... has it in writing to prove it ! Everyone cracked up and then she outed me that I only beat her because she ran out of gas. That started the laughter all over again. She was a sweetheart for sure and I will never forget her. RIP Frankie and give Jake a hug from us. Vicki Lyn James"

"Frankie was never a large lady but she was powerful. Everyone could see that she loved her husband and her family fiercely. She did everything with passion, from driving a race car to planning an Easter meal. She will be missed by many. It is comforting to know that she can finally meet again with her beloved Buster. We send our sympathy to all her loved ones. Sincerely, Louise and David Johnson"
