James Robert Kirkpatrick
December 12, 1931 - August 31, 2015

James Robert Jim Kirkpatrick, 83, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 31, 2015.
Jim was born December 12, 1931 in Joliet, Texas to Robert Louis and Willo Kirkpatrick.
Jim was loved by all as an Industrial Arts Teacher at Refugio High School for 15 years. He retired from the school system and went into business for himself building custom homes and remodeling. He later moved to Fredericksburg and continued building and remodeling. Upon retirement, he resided in Granite Shoals on the lake. He was a faithful member of the Granite Shoals First United Methodist Church.
Jim is survived by his brother Tommy Kirkpatrick (Lavern) and his children: Alan Kirkpatrick (Margaret), Karen Kirkpatrick, Scott Kirkpatrick (Tina), Jacquelyn Hall (Bill), Jamie Allen (Stan) and Allen Buckner. He also leaves behind to mourn 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Gray Kirkpatrick.
To Jim, no one was a stranger. He was quick to laugh and loved being around others. He was happiest when he was helping others. He will be missed.
Services will be held Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00 am at Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, Texas with the pastor Keith Wyatt officiating.
