In loving memory of

Carroll Francis LaBorde
October 26, 1932 - July 7, 2015

Carroll F. LaBorde, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died on July 7, 2015 at the age of 82 in his home in Kyle, Texas, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Pollock, Louisiana, and moved to Austin to attend his senior year at St. Edwards High School, where he graduated. He married the love of his life, Barbara Walker, in 1952 and they would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in September.
Carroll was devoted to his faith, family, and friends. He and Barbara started their life as a young, struggling couple, but through continued entrepreneurship they raised their loving family and were able to live life to the fullest. He owned and operated Circle Saw Shop and Capital Chem Can, as well as raising cattle and other business interests. He never stopped in his quest for a better future for his family.
Carroll leaves behind a grateful family. He is survived by his wife Barbara, and four children, Susan Feely and husband Jim, Carroll (Sandy) LaBorde and wife Lee Ann, Chad LaBorde and wife Laura, Leah Ann Stapp and husband James. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; Brandi Johnsen and husband Erik, Danna Robertson, Makenna and Alexa LaBorde, Chad (Cal), Sarah, and Lauren LaBorde, Kristen White and husband Ryan, Megan Milstead and husband Lamar. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; Kayla, Haley, Houston, Honor, Hayes, Cameron, Channing, and Copeland; and his sister Anita Tillman. He leaves behind his lifelong friend, Maurice Quigley, and extended family, the Harry Simon family. As he passes from this life he will be met by his angel grandson Colton Louis LaBorde.
We especially want to thank a most special man, Dr. Allen Sonstein, who over the past years has helped keep him going through many illnesses. We also wish to thank his special friend and ranch foreman, Al Campos, Silverado Hospice nurses Kim, Tauna, Melissa, Lisa and Alex, who all allowed him to pass peacefully at his home, as well as our many friends who have shown support over the years.
Visitation will be at Harrell Funeral home in Kyle, Texas, July 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Services will be held at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 1100 Main St, Buda, Texas, at 10:30 A.M. on July 10th with interment following at Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Santa Cruz Catholic Church, Seton Medical Center of Kyle, or Silverado Hospice.
We will always have our memories. There is never enough time on this earth with the ones we love. When you come to the edge of all the light you have known and are about to step out into the darkness, Faith is knowing one of two things will happenthere will be something to stand on or you will be taught how to fly.
