"We have so many wonderful memories of Mary Etta! Memories we cherish of her always present smile, good nature, caring disposition and warm hospitality. How can we ever forget those frequent visits to the lake and those memorable fish fry's with Mary Etta orchestrating the preparation and events leading up to that delightful time when friends sat down together to enjoy Floyd's "catch of the day."
Mary Etta truly was an ambassador for our Lord.....a witness to a life that brings honor to Him. She loved her family....including her church family and beyond! Family stories and personal reflections were almost always offered with a good measure of laughter and delight. What wonderful memories Harolyn and I have of Mary Etta.
With our love and condolences to Floyd and the entire Clearman Family......
Bill and Harolyn"

"Floyd and family, how Mary Etta's smile could light a room and warm a heart. Seeing you both at Austin High School reunions with my Mom, Betty Jean (Darter) Green, was a highlight for both of us.
I smile every time I remember seeing you, Mary Etta, and my Mom get fresh-picked tomatoes, put them on plates at the dinner table, and slice and eat them with great delight as if they were steaks.
You've been sweethearts for nearly a lifetime. If I remember right, it's been since about the 9th grade, y'all graduated AHS in 1949, and married in 1950 ... For 65 years now.
it's a blessing to know a family who cared for each other and maintained a lifelong love through sickness and health, and whatever came your way.
Praying for your comfort and peace."

"Our love and prayers go out to you Floyd, Mac, Marc & Martin and all family. Mary Etta was a special lady with a love for her Lord and the many friends she had. She could make you cry and laugh at the same time. She loved to tell jokes. Her talents as a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and teacher showed in her daily life. If she wasn't crafting she would be planning the "kids" Christmas Albums, decorating or maybe the next ladies meeting, party or fish fry. So many wonderful memories. Don't you know that Mary Etta has already hooked up with Selma and Charlotte in heaven. They must have the angels rolling on clouds with laughter. What a wonderful celebration. Our love to you all.
Bill & Nancy Lea"

"As boys growing up, we had many sleepovers at Floyd and Mary Etta's house. It was Marc, Mac, Darrell and I. Such great times we had. I can remember so clearly Aunt Mary Etta making us sandwiches and she always had Kool-Aid popsicles for us. I am so thankful for her and so proud to have shared so many great times together. She will be missed."

"Our prayers are with you all! Some of our favorite memories are of good times at the lake. Mary Etta always made everyone feel so welcome. She knew how to work hard and partied just as hard when the work was done. Just think of all the fun she's having now with the friends who have welcomed her to the party in heaven!"

"Sure did have some wonderful times with Floyd and Mary Etta. She was the life of the party and when Mary Etta was around there was always a party. Thank-you Floyd and Mary Etta for all those memorable fish frys especially the one where Floyd was reminded that "trucks ain't ducks".
Whenever I was with Floyd and Mary Etta I would get a sore stomach from all the fish we ate AND the laughter. She knew how to work hard and have fun!!!!"
