Jacob Lee Turner
June 12, 1984 - February 12, 2015

Jacob Lee Turner, 30, of Austin, Texas passed away February 12, 2015. He was born June 12, 1984 in Southfield, Michigan to Dr. Richard and Deborah Carroll Turner.

Jacob graduated from Valley Mills High School, Waco, Texas in 2002 and joined the US Army. In 2009, he sustained a traumatic brain injury in an auto accident. He suffered from the effects of that injury until he passed away.

Jacob enjoyed being outdoors and playing disc golf with friends. He also like working with fast cars.

Jacob will be remembered as a giving person and enjoyed helping people. He loved working with others that had PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. He always wanted to help and had a very giving spirit.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Freda Carroll; maternal grandfathers, George Turner and Albert Warblow; and his uncle, A. J. Carroll.

He is survived by his parents; a brother, Rich T. Turner, Jr.; 4 sisters, Cayman Carroll, Erica Jones, Danielle Logan and Stacy Jones; aunts and uncles, Ron and Sabrina Turner, Irene Turner, Christie Lietzau and Jim Carroll, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Christa Warblow; numerous cousins and other family members.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2015, at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, Texas.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Harrell Funeral Home, Austin, Texas.
