Rosendo Rockie Juarez, 71 passed away Saturday February 7, 2015 in his home in Kyle, TX surrounded by his family. He was born September 30, 1943 in Edinburg, TX to Amado Juarez and Maria Santos Castro.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maria Monzon-Juarez of Kyle, TX and their two sons Scot and Rockie and their respective families. He met and married Maria in Ramstein, Germany while both serving in the military.

Rockie Domingo Juarez/LIL ROCKIE of Austin, TX. Spouse/Katherine Myers/KITTY. Grandsons-Guillermo/GUI and Atticus/NUGGET Juarez.
Rockie is also survived by his mother/Maria Santos Rubio, Wabash, IN; a sister Angie Villarreal; brothers Arturo Ramirez; Adrian Rubio; and Esiquio Rubio; two uncles and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Favorite cousin-Edwina Keen/WINNIE.
At age 17 Rockie enlisted in the Air Force where he served faithfully and honorable until he retired after 22 years of active duty. He served tours of duty in Texas, Massachusetts, Alaska remote, Thailand, Oklahoma, and Germany. He also served an additional 10 years as a Civil Service Air Force employee. While in the Air Force he served as a cook, drill instructor, and as military travel accountant. The military service adventure years were some the happiest times of his life.
Rockie was a great cook, enjoyed painting, working crossword puzzles, knowledgeable and passionate about cinema; favorite TV shows-NCIS, Jeopardy, Law & Order SVU. He was a homebody who loved to read thriller novels by Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum. He spoke English, Spanish (Tex-Mex/Puerto Rican), and conversational German. He was not a handy man, he was mechanically and electronically challenged. He spoke his mind and was not always understood by most. But..
Rockie was a great father, husband and a true friend to all who truly knew him. Forever loved and missed.
Services will be held at Harrell Funeral Home 1715 Kirby, Kyle, TX on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 7:00 pm. with visitation at 6:00 pm.

Hoy la vida puede tener realmente propsito si se apega firmemente a la slida esperanza de que en el nuevo mundo de Dios todos los problemas que nos afligen sern cosas del pasado. Las cosas anteriores no sern recordadas, ni subirn al corazn. (Isaas 65:17.) Y qu consolador saber que la vida entonces ser eterna: [Dios] realmente se tragar a la muerte para siempre. (Isaas 25:8.)"
