John Wade Clanton, 61, of Marble Falls, Texas, died unexpectedly, Saturday, March 16, 2013. He was born in Russellville, Alabama, May, 19, 1951.John was a man of all trades; a handy man, a business owner, and one who could build just about anything. In fact, one of his favorite phrases was, "Work is fun and fun is work. John was passionate about so many things. He had a fearless side and was a bit of a rebel. He also loved horses, sailing, the country, motorcycles, music, and deep discussions. Above all, his proudest accomplishment by far was his six children. He loved them dearly and wouldn't let a visit or conversation go by without saying, I love you or I am so proud of you. His family meant the world to him, and he will continue to smile down from above. John is preceded in death by his father, Charles Wade Clanton, and mother, Betty Jean Clanton.John is survived by Terry Sue Clanton, his wife of 34 years, and his six children, Sara Lea Clanton of Galveston, Texas; Susan Clanton Atzenhoffer and husband Jason of New Braunfels, Texas; John Charles Clanton and fianc Blair Pipkin of Austin, Texas; James Dean Clanton and fianc Lauren Goehring of New Braunfels, Texas; Jessica Rose Clanton of New Braunfels, Texas; and Betsy Marie Clanton and fianc Joshua Wilkins of Austin, Texas. John also has four precious grandchildren, Wyatt Allen Atzenhoffer (5); Parker Scott Atzenhoffer (2); Gavin Lee Wilkins (2); and Addison Marie Wilkins (1). John is also survived by a brother, Samuel Joseph Clanton and wife Margaret of Cedar Park, Texas, and sister, Karen Lea Allen and husband Kevin of Iraan, Texas, along with uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.Arrangements have been made at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail Austin, Texas for Thursday, March 21, 2013.
