Roy Kemp, Sr.
December 8, 1961 - June 25, 2019

Roy Kemp Sr., of White Lake, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 57 years old. He was born on December 8, 1961, in Japan, a son of Walter and Daisy (Byers) Kemp.

Roy was raised in Avon, Illinois and moved to White Lake in 1987. He married Joanne Skorie on September 2, 1987.

Roy was a loving husband, proud father and grandfather. He enjoyed grilling, cooking, golfing, fishing, camping, playing softball and watching the NFL.

In addition to his wife Joanne, he is survived by a son, Roy (Stephanie) Kemp Jr. of Mountain; daughter, Rebecca Jo Kemp of White Lake; four grandchildren, Calan Jo Kemp, Aurora Mae Richardson, Lanna Lee Jesse and Charlie Jo Kemp; brother, Walter LaVerne Kemp, Jr. of Antigo; sister, Belinda (Randy) Spanbauer of Antigo; and his mother-in-law, Bernadine Skorie of White Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Kemp and Daisy Radke; and father-in-law, Joe Skorie.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, White Lake with Rev. Kelly Smith officiating. Burial will take place in Langlade Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 30 at the Bradley Funeral Home from 3 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
