Alfred F. "Sonny" Forbes, age 80, of Toms River died on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in New York City, he lived New York City, Hoboken and North Bergen for many years before moving to Toms River in 2006.
Sonny worked in the warehouse of Houbigant Perfume in Ridgefield, NJ for over 30 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Union City.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara in 2008. He is survived by his children, Tara Forbes, Scott Forbes, Jackie Kessler, John Forbes, Derek Forbes and Dawn Marinoni; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 29, 2019, 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
Cremation will be private.
