Keith Mintle, 77, of Glenwood, IA passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday July 3, 2019 at the Silver City United Methodist Church with Pastor Ken Demlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Charles Keith Mintle, one of three children of Karl and Margaret (Lincoln) Mintle was born on March 17, 1942 in Glenwood, IA. Keith received his education from Glenwood Schools graduating with the Class of 1960. Following graduation Keith began to work on the family farm with his father. In 1963 he enlisted with the National Guard. After his time with the guard he returned back to Glenwood and continued farming with his father.

On May 22, 1965 he married Patricia Winters at Grace United Methodist Church in Glenwood. The couple was blessed with three children, Kendall, Kristopher, and Heather.

Keith was one of the first farmers in Mills County to implement "No Till" farming in the early 1980s, and received the Mills County Conservation Farmer of the Year award as a result. He was a lifetime member of 4-H and Silver City United Methodist Church.

Keith enjoyed tinkering around with things on the farm and enjoying antique tractors. Most of all he loved his grandchildren.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents, son, Kristopher Paul Mintle and sister, Marilyn Skerritt.

Keith is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pat of Glenwood; son, Kendall Mintle and his wife Brenda of Glenwood; daughter, Heather Mills and her husband Bob of Elkhorn, NE; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sister, Marianna Papoi of Aurora, CO; and a host of other relatives and many special friends.
