Harold Ray Beyer age 69 of Prairie City, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. Burial will follow at Waveland Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be present from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Harold Beyer Memorial Fund. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of John and Berdena (Schut) Beyer, Harold was born on May 16, 1950 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He graduated (barely) from Prairie City High School in 1969. On January 20, 1995, he married the love of his life, Sandra L. Platteter. Harold was well known for horses and hot rods. He enjoyed helping with the Prairie City Fire Department Car Show, playing cards and going camping with Sandy.
Those left to honor his memory include his two sons, Terry (Jen) Beyer and Rick Beyer; four grandchildren, Colton, Jacey, Chase and Dylan; his mother, Berdena; brother, David (Linda) Beyer and two nephews. Preceding Harold in death were his father, John and wife, Sandy.
