Jim Canada
July 15, 1953 - July 2, 2019

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Jim Canada, 65, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at his home.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at the American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the family.

Jim was born on July 15, 1953, in Moline, Illinois, the son of Edwin and Doris Robinson Canada. He graduated from West High School, in Davenport, Iowa.

He worked as a DJ at KWPC radio, in Muscatine, for several years. Jim was also a DJ for many weddings and events. He worked at Columbia Rug for several years.

Jim had been president of the Masquers, a local theatre group, where he directed and acted in several plays. He sang in a cover band; Texas Pride. He was a huge Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed bowling and watching wrestling.

You always knew when Jim was in the room and he was always the life of the party. He was laid-back and easy to talk to and above all loved his children and grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory include his sons, David Canada and wife, Brooke, of Kingsville, Texas, and their children Kaden, Justin and Lisa; Drew Canada and wife Jessica, of Davenport, Iowa, and their children, Nathan, Alexander and Violet; Brett Canada and Significant other, Chelsie Irwin, of Muscatine, and their son Geordi; and one brother, Ray Canada and wife, Sandy, Of Blue Grass, and their children, Steve, Shane, and Scott.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
