Robert "Bob" D. Strong, 62, of Hubbard, NE passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Heritage of Emerson Care Center in Emerson, NE following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in the Dakota City Cemetery in Dakota City, NE. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the funeral home.
Bob was born January 3, 1957 in Rapid City, SD, the son of Waunetta Hogan. He attended Homer High School in Homer, NE. Bob married Jodi Drury on February 10, 1978 at St. Boniface Church in Sioux City, IA. They settled in rural Hubbard, NE and were blessed with three children. He worked at IBP/Tyson for 42 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and working on their acreage.
Survivors include his wife, Jodi Strong of Hubbard, NE; children, Nancy Fleming (Joel Butcher) of Sioux City, IA, Bobbi Strong (John Loos) of Dakota City, NE, and Nick Strong of Dakota City, NE; grandchildren, Austin, Mackenzie, and Nicole Strong, Lindsey and Johnny Loos, and Natalie Strong; many siblings, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Waunetta Hogan; and 3 siblings.
