"Fred was such a great guy and never at a loss for words. I loved working with him at the Iowa State Fair. He had a common sense approach to getting things done, and could see the humor in most everything he confronted. His usual approach to challenges he faced and those he worked with was ?Either lead, follow, or get out of the way?. That served him and those around him very well throughout his life and he will be missed. I was blessed to know him." wrote on Jul 9, 2019:

"So sorry for your loss of a great man. Fred was always so talkative and had so many funny jokes!! He will be missed! "

"I loved when Fred and Marilyn and crew from Ridgeblasters would stop out at VFW when I cleaned because Fred always knew he'd better take me for a ride or he'd be in trouble. Loved the times we had laughing and chatting with them at VFW will cherish those days. Many beers and laughs were had by all. Snowmobiling in the clouds now Gods speed Fred."

"Fred was a good person and excellent supervisor; he had good judgement, was fair and firm. Although he had many accomplishments, I don't ever remember him bragging about them. He enjoyed a good story and was a folksey story teller. Mary Lou and I will miss him."
