"There are truly no words on this shocking loss of Dear Sue. She was a wonderful teacher and colleague and left a great impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was dedicated to her students and to Intermediate North as she was always there working with the kids. Sue always took the time to say hello to me when our paths crossed in school and always asked about not only me but my daughter. I had the pleasure of walking out of school with her on the last day talking about another year done and heading into summer. May she Rest In Peace and May you have the comfort in knowing she was a wonderful person who has touched so many lives and I am grateful to have been touched by her kindness and my daughter by her teachings in the classroom. She will be greatly missed! "

Mary Woelfer wrote on Jul 12, 2019:

"My thoughts and prayers are with you. May you be comforted by fond memories of your wife and mother. Sue was a true student advocate. She was always willing to give to students in need. Sue gave up her lunch time so that her students could come to her room during lunch when they did not feel comfortable going to the lunch room. Whenever a student of mine had an exceptional need of encouragement and love, I recommended Sue's cycle. I knew they would make friends, be sheltered from bullying and feel special when she was their cycle teacher. I loved Sue as a teacher and as a friend. She would always shoot from the hip. I new I could count her her for honesty and integrity. She gave so much of herself to TRIN, the students and the staff. Part of her will live on as Mrs. Langhirt in the hearts of so many students and coworkers at TRIN. Fondly, Mary Woelfer"

"Dan, Chuck, and Sara, I just heard the news today that we lost dear Sue, and I feel such a sense of sadness at losing such a wonderful friend. I am so sorry for your families loss. Sue... I had the pleasure of working with you for almost 15 years at TRIN, and I honestly can't think of a more loving, caring, and compassionate person than you to have had, not just as a colleague, but as a friend. When my car battery died during Hurricane Sandy, because I was using my car to charge my phone, I posted on Facebook, my rotten luck (lol), and no sooner did I post it, you called me and said you and your son were coming over to my house to jump start my car, and that you both did, and I was so grateful. I'm embarrassed to say, I was only able to help you out 1 time, when you needed a ride home from work. When my Pugina was getting married (lol) online, you were a good sport & had Lady & Duchess, be part of the bridal party. After I lost my Pugrina, you were one of the 1st people who sought me out at work, and offered me your condolences and words of wisdom about carrying on after the loss, and later, ordered me a shirt with a pug on it, to bring up my spirits. The stories could go and on about your generosity, but even more than that, I marvel at your strength and courage during times that I can only imagine their toughness to be. I will miss you my friend, rest in Heavenly peace. "

"I am so saddened to hear of the news that your beloved mother has passed on. Sue was always so kind to me and very kind to my daughter as well. When my daughter was 15 she had to have her ovary removed and Sue gave to me a beautiful card and stuffed schnauzer for my daughter because she knew how much she loved her dogs. She had given her a beautiful musical necklace when she learned she would major in music education in college. She heard I was having leg cramps and put a bottle of magnesium and a banana in my school mailbox and told me I was deficient in potassium and magnesium. That was Sue. Generous and thoughtful. She always made herself available for any and everything. She was kind, thoughtful and caring. I will miss her visiting me at school and making me laugh. Rest in eternal glory Sue.I adored you. Rest well my friend. --- Kelly Zuzic"

"When I found out the news, I was truly heartbroken. All my prayers and thoughts go out to the family. I remember when she would always make my class laugh. I am also so grateful I was able to be a part of her life and be student in her classroom. She always made difficult topics in social studies easier for us to understand by breaking it down to levels that would make sense to us. Beside her being a great teacher, she was also one of the most caring and giving person I?ve ever met and she will be remembered?"
