"Paul was an important part of my teenage years. The blue Ford van. Trips to Jack?s Lake. Inner-tubing down the Wolf River. Swinging from the rope over Otter Lake. His years working at Standard Gas Station. Helped him move his trailer and we found a hard-luck kitten that he kept. It was always wonderful to bump into him on my visits to Elcho, as he treated me as if I?d only been gone on a short fishing trip. "
