Bernice Belknap Conlon
January 28, 1931 - July 11, 2019

Parnell- Bernice Belknap Conlon was born January 28, 1931 in East Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of George and Bertha Louise (Ballou) Crowley. Bernice is a decedent of the Ballou's of America and James Garfield. She grew up in Rhode Island and later resided in Chelsea, Iowa, California, Ladora and recently resided in Parnell. Bernice was united in marriage to John "Jack" Conlon on May 23, 1981 in Providence, Rhode Island. She was a devoted wife and mother. Bernice enjoyed talking about her children, crocheting, knitting, cooking and singing. Bernice passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the English Valley Care Center in North English at the age of 88 years.


She is survived by eleven children: Dotty Uthoff of Parnell, Charles Martin of Marengo, Louise McDonald of Marengo, Charlotte Quigley of Rumford, RI, David Martin of Warwick, RI, Sheila Hinds of Turlock, CA, Marie LaChance of East Greenwich, RI, Joanne Kowal of Coventry, RI, James Martin of Parnell, Michelle Wright of Modesto, CA and Yvonne Noel of West Kingston, RI;
23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and a sister.


Celebration Of Life Service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg, Iowa. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Williamsburg. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. A general memorial fund has been established.
