December 23, 1951 - July 14, 2019

Robert John Doty, age 67 of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Monroe Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to Monroe Fire and Rescue and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The son of John and Shirley (Krug) Doty, Bob was born on December 23, 1951 in Estherville, Iowa. He graduated from Graettenger High School and Jackson Vocational School in Jackson, Minnesota. On February 10, 1973, he was united in marriage to Janet Malwitz t St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Bob owned and operated Robert Doty Construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and NASCAR.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Jan; three sons, Michael (Carrie) Doty, Jason (Darcy) Doty and Shawn (Lyndsi) Doty; six grandchildren, Grace, Leah, Maci, Bria, Jagger and Maverick; a sister, Linda Doty and two brothers, Steve (Rhonda Morris) Doty and Dana (Cindy) Doty. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gene and Randy.

"I don't think I have room for all the wonderful memories of this man Bob and his family were a huge part of my life and if I had to choose a memory I guess camping would be the top one we did that a lot growing up he was one of the awnryest also kept people on their toes !
