Carmon Ervin went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2019, Austin, TX. Carmon was 80 years old. He was born on April 27, 1939, in Corning, AR. Carmon married Betty Hoaglund on August 23, 1956, in Corning, AR. They have 5 children.
Carmon was a longtime resident in Rockford, IL. He was employed at Browning-Ferris for 16 years, and he worked as a truck driver at Liebovich for 19 years. Carmon enjoyed fishing and taking the boat out on Lake Pierce. He enjoyed working on cars and helping others repair their cars, too. Carmon loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Carmon & Betty enjoyed traveling all over the United States, as well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Irene Hefner and Fred Ervin of Corning, AR., including his siblings; Freddie M. Ervin, Mervil Ervin; and Barbara Jackson.
Carmon is survived by his wife, Betty Ervin, their children; Beverly, Danny & Billy (the twins), Norman and Bonnie. Including their spouses and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his sisters; Mazie Raney, Alice Williams, Louise Barksdale of Corning, AR, and Nadine Eaglin of Poplar Bluff, MO. His brothers; Floyd, Olen, and Gary of Paragould, AR; Glen and James of Corning, AR, and Kenneth of Pocahontas, AR; including their families, too numerous to mention!
Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Harrell Funeral Services, Kyle, Texas. Services will be for the immediate family only. The final resting place will be at Scandinavian Cemetery, Rockford, IL.
