Jennifer Ann Padgett, age 53 of Colfax, passed away on July 14, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial will take place at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation for Jennifer will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society or the Colfax Fire Department. The daughter of Clayton and Donna (Davis) Newell, Jennifer was born on April 2, 1966 in Newton. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1984. On September 24, 2007, she was united in marriage to Sean Patrick Padgett in Des Moines. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Sean; her father, Clayton (Mary Ann) Newell; sisters, Sheila (Richard) Meyer, Jacqueline Sue (Newell) Clark, and Nancy (Dan) Kingery; her in-laws, Bill and Sharon Padgett; a brother and sister-in-law, Eric (Kim) Padgett and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Preceding Jennifer in death was her mother, Donna Jean Newell.
