Thomas J. Kennedy, Jr.
March 21, 1946 - July 17, 2019

Thomas J. Kennedy, Jr., of Lower Gwynedd, PA, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 17, 2019. He was 73 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, Tom was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (nee Arnold) Kennedy, Sr.

A graduate of Lincoln High School, he attended Drexel University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He also earned a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and his MBA, both from Drexel University. Tom held many positions throughout his career, retiring from PJM Interconnection in Norristown in 2013. He was a lifetime member of the Engineering Honor Society, Tau Beta Phi and IEEE.

He spent many hours volunteering for the Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard, the Kelly Anne Dolan Fund, and Habitat for Humanity. He was a past member of the Lower Gwynedd Parks and Recreation Board and supported the Wissahickon High School robotics program and Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown, PA. In his free time, he enjoyed sports, reading and listening to music.

Tom is survived by his wife of 48 years, Roberta "Bobbi" (nee Affilani). He is the father of Megan Kennedy of Philadelphia and Lori Kennedy of Hunt Valley, Maryland. He is the brother of Ronald "Rusty" Kennedy and his wife Eugenia of Ambler, the brother-in-law of George Gaspar of Gilbertsville, and uncle to Dina (nee Kennedy) Milito (Craig), Mandy (nee Kennedy) DeCecco (Alan), Niki (nee Kennedy) Matt (Ken), and Miles Kennedy (Melissa).

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 23rd at 9:30 AM, at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002 followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM. Inurnment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.
