Donna Sue Elmore
September 28, 1941 - July 23, 2019

Donna Sue Elmore, 77, of New London, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Henry County Health Center. She was born September 28, 1941 in Brookfield, Missouri to Elihue Eugene and Alpha Ione Murrain Grandstaff.
She attended school in Brookfield and graduated from Burlington High School. For 28 years, she worked at MHI as a resident treatment worker, then owned and operated Clip n' Dip Dogge Den in Danville for 20 years. She was member of VFW Auxiliary 7641; loved watching TV, spending time in her yard, crocheting and feeding stray animals. Donna was an amazing cook and baker with pies being her specialty. She always made plenty and enjoyed sharing plates with others.
Survivors include four children; Bobbi Sue (Craig) Huebner of New London, twins Kevin and Kent Walters both of West Burlington and Brian Walters of Independence; four grandchildren; Kristofer (Megan) Walters, Ben (Morgan) Fry, Nick Fry and Tylor (Bailey) Huebner; and four great-grandchildren; Norah, Ella, Finnick and Josie. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, half-brother Richard Grandstaff, half-sister Etha Grandstaff, and her special friend of 20 years Gene Reeder.
The memorial service for Donna Elmore will be 10:00 am, Monday at Elliott Chapel with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Dave Bennage will officiate. According to her wishes, her body has been cremated and inurnment will be at a later date. A memorial has been established to help with funeral expenses.
