Lee J. Lemke, 88, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton. He was born on October 24, 1930, in Hampton, to Lee M. and Gladys (Cessford) Lemke.
Lee graduated from Hampton High School. He was married to Joanne Palmer; she preceded him in death.
Lee served in the Iowa National Guard for sixteen years. He sold insurance for Modern Woodman of America and worked for Weavers in Iowa Falls.
Lee is survived by his daughter Barbara (Morris) Hambley of Dumont, daughter Cindy Ehrsmann of Mason City, son Jon (Charlotte) Ehrsmann of Seattle, Washington, son Jim Ehrsmann of Osage, sister Joyce Heitland of Hampton, sister Gloria (Darrell) Reams of West Des Moines, sister Francis (Richard) Mecham of Berthoud, Colorado, grandchildren Janette, Jeanette, Elizabeth, Anita, Jack and Jon, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lee M. and Gladys.
A private burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery. No other services will be held.
