The passionate spirit of Julia A. IntVeldt, 87, of Marshalltown, IA, left this earthly life to work in Jesus' home to help Bob watch over their five children, 15 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren, Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the Legacy Lodge in Chariton, IA. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2019, at the Cornerstone Community Church, 120 Northwestern Avenue, in Chariton, with Rev. Phil Rich officiating. Inurnment will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August, 3, 2019, in Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown beside her loving husband, Bob. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Memorials may be directed to the Cornerstone Community Church or her family. Julia Anne was born August 12, 1931, to John and Mary Ella (Carpenter) Bailey in Lehigh, IA. On August 12, 1964, Julia was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" IntVeldt in Lincoln, NE. She worked as a fashion buyer for McAllister's in Marshalltown for many years. Julia was a member of United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, where she was also a receptionist for several years, started a widow's support group, and participated in Prison Card Ministry, writing letters to prisoners. Julia loved dogs, reading, sewing, cooking, managing the home, and taking care of her husband. Most recently, she was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Chariton.
Left to cherish Julia's memory are her children, Laura Tempel-Kurtz of Kansas City, MO, Robert (Jane) IntVeldt of Jasper, GA, Patricia (Ken) Wheeler of Rockford, IL, Veronica Tempel-Dutton of Chariton, Janice Peoples of Frisco, TX; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Bob, son James, grandchild LuAnn Tempel, and five siblings.

"I remember when you guys lived on the north place of the farmstead we lived on outside of Marshalltown west of the airport. Whenever it got real stormy, my Dad would go down and get you to ride out the storm with us. Julia was such a nice woman who raised some pretty good kids. She will be missed. "Julia was a friend of Arlene Olsen, my mother in law, in Marshalltown. Almost 20 years ago she visited our summer cabin in Canada with the ?six pack? friends. One morning she ran to the kitchen to get the coffee started and hit her toe on a step up into the living area. While she was hurting and embarrassed, she laughed. It was finally determine that she had actually broken her toe. We all had fun teasing her about her coffee addiction and trying to act like a kid. I still smile when I think about that visit.
