"Thanks to modern communications, Julia and I were able to be in touch the last few years. We enjoyed reminiscing about family gatherings. Now she has joined the great family reunion in heaven. My condolences to the family. "

Chris Crandell wrote on Aug 3, 2019:

"I remember when you guys lived on the north place of the farmstead we lived on outside of Marshalltown west of the airport. Whenever it got real stormy, my Dad would go down and get you to ride out the storm with us. Julia was such a nice woman who raised some pretty good kids. She will be missed. Chris (Rebik) Crandell, Newton, Iowa."

Sheri and Craig Olsen wrote on Aug 2, 2019:

"Julia was a friend of Arlene Olsen, my mother in law, in Marshalltown. Almost 20 years ago she visited our summer cabin in Canada with the ?six pack? friends. One morning she ran to the kitchen to get the coffee started and hit her toe on a step up into the living area. While she was hurting and embarrassed, she laughed. It was finally determine that she had actually broken her toe. We all had fun teasing her about her coffee addiction and trying to act like a kid. I still smile when I think about that visit. Our sympathies are with the family. Sheri and Craig Olsen, Tucson, AZ and Sioux Narrows, ON, Canada"
