Susan Hafner, age 64, of Toms River passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Medical Center of Ocean, Brick, after a long illness. Born in Newark, she grew up in East Orange and Irvington, and lived in Roselle Park for many years before moving to Toms River in 1998.
Mrs. Hafner was a Registered Nurse, and worked most recently for the Meridian Healthcare System. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and making trips to Atlantic City.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her step children, Joseph, Danielle, Jeanine, and Samantha; her grandchildren, Tyler, Michael, Christopher, Amanda, Peyton, and Madison; her sister, Linda Wayda and her husband Paul; her niece, Lori and her husband Ed; her nephew Christopher; her great-nieces, Marissa and Gina; and her great-nephew, Christopher.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River. Funeral Service will be held during the evening visitation. Cremation will be private.
