Matthew Donald Stone
September 19, 1994 - August 1, 2019

MATTHEW DONALD STONE, 24, born September 19, 1994, entered into eternal rest August 1, 2019. Loving son of Gary and Susan (nee Paulin) Stone. Brother of Rachael and half brother of Jeremy Naujoks. Grandson of Edward and Mary Jane Paulin and the late Donald and Jane Stone. He leaves behind many friends and family including his special friend, Alexis Cobos. Matthew was a 2012 graduate of Bay High School. He was a kind and loving human being with a smile always on his face, and a funny sense of humor. Growing up he enjoyed hockey, cross country, and camping. His uplifting spirit and energy gave support to many. He was polite and respectful to all. Always one to help someone else, he would always lend his time and energy for a good cause. He was an excellent cook and prepared delicious meals. Matthew battled addiction for 9 years and he never gave up against the demons inside of him. His journey while in recovery took him to Montana, Louisiana, and finally Texas. He met some amazing people along the way helping them as best he could in addition to helping himself. His family and friends gave him their unconditional support. Unfortunately, Matthew lost his fight against addiction in Austin, Texas. Matthew will be missed by all whose lives he touched. "Buggy" and "Baby Goo", as he was known by his family, is finally at peace. There will be a Funeral Mass to celebrate Matthew's life on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Saint Raphael Catholic Church, 525 Dover Center Road, Bay Village, Ohio 44140 at 10:30 am. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT CHURCH SATURDAY from 10 am until time of Mass.
