Ruth Vaughn Thrasher
June 9, 1926 - August 9, 2019

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Vaughn Thrasher, age 93, of Livingston will be conducted 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. James Allen Thrasher will officiate. Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thrasher passed from this life on Friday morning, August 9, 2019 from the comfort of her home in Livingston. She was born in Overton County Tennessee, to the late Joe W. & Clementen McCormick Vaughn. She was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Ruth enjoyed reading, gardening, walking and traveling. She made beautiful works of art with her needle and thread, and loved her family dearly.

Ruth leaves behind her son, Earl W. Thrasher & wife Sharon of Cookeville, TN; daughters, Elaine Norrod & husband James of Livingston, TN, and Kathy Breeding & husband Jeff of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Tamy Robb McEwen, Rebecca Thrasher, Jennifer Samples, April Cogburn, Jacob Norrod, Ross Breeding, and Erin Rose; step-grandsons, Scott & Jarred Norrod; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Houston Vaughn; and sister, Euretha Williams.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Aaron Thrasher; brothers, Harold Vaughn, Alvin Luther, and Donald Ward Vaughn; and sister, Joanna Ferrill.

Pallbearers to serve are Patrick Letner, Matthew Stockton, Ross Breeding, McKinzie Rose, Tyler Fletcher, and Jacob Norrod.
