Mary Ruth (Scramlin) Gilbert
June 12, 1956 - August 10, 2019

Mary Ruth Gilbert, 63, lifelong Seattle area resident peacefully passed away at her Adult Family home on Saturday August 10, 2019 following a long illness. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Bellevue. All are invited to a reception in the church community room following the services.

Mary was born June 12, 1956 in Kirkland, the second oldest of five children born to Robert and Thelma Scramlin.

While Mary attended Lake Washington High School she worked at Frederick and Nelson's. After graduating in 1974 she worked at Pay and Save stores and later Ernst Hardware. She married Ross Gilbert on January 15, 1983. They resided in Kent.

Mary is survived by her parents Thelma and Robert Scramlin, sisters Joan (Bill) Marshaleck and Jennifer Ottosen, brothers Pete (Sue) and Rob (Heidi) Scramlin, husband Ross, son John (Emily) and her step sons (Ross's boys) Ryan (Rachel) and Timothy (Dawn), and grandchildren Liam, Gavin and Lynnae Gilbert, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to all Mary's caregivers, who for the last year cared for her kindly. The family could not have done this without them.
