Dawn Margaret Nietering
September 11, 1966 - August 19, 2019

Dawn Margaret Nietering (Pemberton), age 52, of Nunica, Michigan passed away Monday, August 19,
2019 at home with loved ones, ending her battle with cancer.
Dawn was born to parents James and Ellen Pemberton on September 11, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan. She
grew up one of six children and attended high school at West Ottawa High School. She married her high
school sweetheart, Jeffrey Nietering, on March 30, 1985. Dawn was a medical assistant and lifetime
Michigan Bow Hunter member.
Dawn was blessed with a large and loving family. Her and her husband, Jeff, were fortunate to have had
six children and nine grandchildren (with two additional grandchildren on the way). From the beginning,
she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to pursue and explore a relationship with Him.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff, her mother Ellen Pemberton, her children, Bradley (Felicia)
Nietering, Ashlee (Zackary) Cunningham, Elizabeth Nietering, Tyler (Megan) Nietering, George (Shelby)
Nietering, and Margaret Nietering, her nine grandchildren, her siblings Robin Bloemendal, Scott
Pemberton, Sandy Tenbrink, Tammy Chamberlin, and Nikol Kolka. She is preceded in death by her
father, James Pemberton.
The memorial service is to be held on September 6, 2019 at 11 AM at Nortonville Chapel 14472 Leonard
Road, Spring Lake, MI with a reception to follow. The family appreciates prayers and condolences but is
declines flowers or donations at this time.
