Jeremy M. Berwald

Jeremy Michael Berwald, died unexpectedly in his home, April 27, 2019. He was 47.

Jeremy is survived by his mother, Sandra Wagenmaker; his partner, Cindy VanRaalte; his children, Derik Berwald (mother, Tracey Shalifoe), Angel VanRaalte Fox, Jackson Berwald; sisters, Joanna (Joe) Berwald Lasser, Juliana (Landon) Wagenmaker Sustaita; his grandchildren, Kalista, Richard, Scarlett, Viktor & Iris; nieces, Lauren Rust & Macy Lasser; nephews, Cole Rust and Max Lasser; grandparents, Don & Shirley Boorman. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Berwald; his stepdad, Jack Wagenmaker; his grandparents, Anthony & Fern Berwald.

Jeremy was born in Muskegon on November 5, 1971 to Michael & Sandra Berwald. He attended Reeths-Puffer High School, Muskegon Community College and Baker College. Jeremy was an avid reader and a good writer. In his teens, Jeremy was the 5-State Regional Speed Skater Champion and performed with the esteemed Vocal Dimensions singing group.

Jeremy was a very family oriented man. He enjoyed playing video games with his son, Jackson. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan and he loved playing with his dog Benny. He was currently working construction with his brother-in-law, Joe Lasser. He is deeply missed by all.

A memorial service will be held, Friday, May 10, 2019 at 6:00 pm at Christ Community Congregational Church on Green Creek Road.
