Mr. Stephen A. Silky, age 40, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with a brain stem tumor. He was born in Muskegon, MI on February 19, 1969 to Charles & Sue (Higgins) Silky and married the former Karyn Hill on December 20, 2001. Mr. Silky had been employed as a Realtor at the former Westdale Reality of Grandville. He attended Our Savior's Lutheran Church and was a Board Member of Disability Connections. He was an avid hunter & fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors & his dogs. But foremost was always his family. SURVIVORS Wife, Karyn of Muskegon; Mother, Sue Ann (Rev. Kenneth) Babcock of Baroda, MI; Father, Charles Silky of Muskegon; brother, Charles "Chip" Silky of FL; sister, Christine O'Connell of Hudsonville; stepbrother, Charles "Chas" Hibbard of Muskegon; in-laws, Marvin & Katherine Hill of Sandusky MI; several brothers & sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, close friends & his canine companions, Maggie & Augie. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas & Esther Higgins & the Honorable Judge Charles E. & Lucile Silky.
