Jody Dorpinghaus
June 4, 1961 - December 25, 2007

Jody Rae Dorpinghaus was born on June 4, 1961, at her home in Clear Lake, Iowa to the late James Robert and Judith Elaine (Jenkins) Dickirson. She received her education in the Mason City Public Schools; graduating in the Class of 1979. She remained in Clear Lake/Mason City area working at Perkins until moving to Owatonna, Minnesota in 1981. Jody was united in marriage to John Cramer at the Owatonna Courthouse. This marriage was later dissolved. In Owatonna, Jody continued to work at Perkins until working for WSI for nine years and then for Mustang until the plant closed. In 2004, she moved to Windom where she worked for Anixter Fasteners where Jody helped supply parts for Ag-Co in Jackson. On July 13, 2007, Jody was united in marriage to Frank Dorpinghaus at Cottonwood Lake in Windom, Minnesota. After marriage, Jody and Frank made their home in Windom.

Earlier in 2007, Jody was diagnosed with cancer and fought the disease courageously with Frank at her side all of the time until December 25, 2007, when Jody passed away at the Sunset Cottage in Worthington, Minnesota at the age of 46.

Jody will be remembered for many things in life which includes her love to work and when she wasn?t working she loved to sit around and have coffee and talk with her friends; she loved to dance and watch sunsets; she had a huge collection of Frogs in her home; she had a great love for racing, campfires and fireworks; and most of all, she loved her family and friends, especially her husband, Frank.

Jody is survived by her husband, Frank Dorpinghaus of Windom; cousin, Jeff Ellis and his wife, two sisters, Connie of Mason City, IA; Darcy Skellenger and her husband, Dan of Clear Lake, IA; Diane Byington and her husband, Tim of Mason City, IA; father and mother-in-law, Delano and Renee Dorpinghaus of Fulda; and other relatives and friends to numerous to mention.

Jody is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Linda Nelson Smith.
