Harold L. Gisel age 75 of Delmar Iowa died Wednesday December 18 2002 at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa Iowa.



Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday December 21 2002 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa with Pastor Dawn Phares of the Delmar United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 P.M. on Friday December 20 2002 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery Delmar Iowa.



Harold L. Gisel was born on April 15 1927 in Andrew Iowa to Ernest Gisel and Lena Heinrich Gisel. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Edna Asmussen on March 3 1951 in Spragueville Iowa.



Harold Gisel first worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa for 28 years as an inspector. He then worked for Caterpillar as a machine operator for 4 years and later for Hoof Products as an inspector retiring in 1992.



He was a member of the I.A.M. Union and the Delmar United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening reading sports-especially baseball and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandson?s play sports.



He is Survived By: His Wife- Edna Gisel of Delmar IA; 1 Son- Steven(Carol) Gisel of Maquoketa IA; 2 Grandsons- Colin Gisel & Bryn Gisel; & 1 Sister- Marjorie Nissen of Bellevue IA. He was preceded in death by his parents a son- Thomas Gisel 2 brothers- Paul Gisel & Edward Gisel & 2 sisters- Elda Daudel & Luella Meyer.



A Harold L. Gisel Memorial Fund has been established.
