Mrs. Suits, age 86, died May 8, 2007. Born September 14, 1920, in Brooklyn, NY, to Harry and Anna (Naganda) Kudla, who came to this country from Ruda, Ukraine, she had lived in the Sturgis area for many years. On December 7, 1943, in Fort Hamilton, NY, she married Lt. Robert D. Suits, who preceded her in death in 1998. She graduated from high school and secretarial school and worked at Sears, Roebuck Co. in Brooklyn and later worked, for 33 years, at the Kirsch Co., manufacturers of drapery hardware and blinds. Mrs. Suits was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sturgis, a member of the Sturgis Hospital Auxiliary and the Sturgis Historical Society. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Steve Kudla and Peter Kudla. FAMILY: 1 son, Robert P. (Wanda Lee) Suits of Montague; 1 daughter, Elizabeth A. (Steve) Irelan of Hillsboro, MO; grandchildren, Paul (Peggy) Suits and children, Angie Lytle, Christopher Faulbe, Erin Faulbe, Bryan (Jody) Suits and daughters, MiKayla & MiKenna, Jennifer Nusbaum-Suits and sons, Lane & Kamron, Christopher Irelan and Corey (Laura) Irelan and children, Maggie & Aidan; Step grandchildren, Raymond Jr. (Kimberly) Hall and children-Airman First Class Khristopher Hall, Brittani Hall, Ryan Love & Bradley Hall, Thomas (Kristine) Hall and children, Jessica Hall, Stephanie Hall & Allison Hall, and Katrina Saunders and children, U.S. Army Recruit Arron Saunders, Mary Saunders & Autumn Saunders; her beloved cat, Chance. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at 7:00 PM, at Montague United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gary Befkoske officiating.
