A. Laura DeWitt Prins Qunilan died at Hospice House in Holland, MI on Saturday, February 15, 2003. She was born on May 24, 1912 to Henry H. DeWitt & Dena Grotenhuis DeWitt in Holland, MI. She married Everett Prins in 1935 in Holland, MI & moved to Muskegon, MI when he started the Home Heating Company. He died on December 18, 1972. She moved to Zellwood, FL in 1978 & married Gerald J. Quinlan in 1979. He died in January of 1987. Laura was a retired teacher from Muskegon Christian Schools & Reeth-Puffer Public Schools. She graduated from Western Michigan University with a BA & MA. She was a member of Rolling Hills Reformed Church in Zellwood, FL & was a former member of Bethany Christian Reformed Church in Muskegon, MI.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Carol Halloran of Bethesda, MD, Joan Roger Schlukebir of Grand Haven, MI & Audrey Rasmussen of Alexandria, VA; 6 grandchildren, Christopher Halloran, Laurie Wilkason, Cynthia Hunting, Catherine Cook, Laurie Caywood & Anne Schlukier; 9 great-grandchildren, Andrew & Megan Hunting, Colby & T.J. Wilkason, Everett, Andy & Virginia Cook & Kelsi & Jack Caywood; sister, Verna Raymond Williams of Bowling Green, KY; brother, Almore Frances DeWitt of Cornelia, GA; 4 sisters-in-law, Cora Klassen of Holland, MI, Ruth Anne Bill VandenBeldt of Zeeland, MI, Marge Prins of Winter Park, FL & Florence DeWitt of GA; good friend, Don Wertman of Zellwood, FL. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, George & Raymond DeWitt & by a sister, Muriel Schaap.

Saturday, February 22, 2003 in Holland, MI. Burial will be at Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Holland, MI.
