Mr. James A. Dolphin, age 68, died Tuesday December 31, 2002 at his residence. He was born on February 19, 1934 in Grand Haven, MI to Lloyd A. & Dainey Rowell Dolphin. Mr. Dolphin married the former Phyllis Daniels in Grand Haven, MI on September 16, 1961. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in France. Jim was employed as an Electronic Technician & had been employed at P Antenna of Grand Haven, MI, VanNoord Magnavox of Holland, MI, his own business, Dolphin's Radio & TV of Grand Haven, MI & King Radio & TV of Muskegon, MI, retiring in 1997. He was a member of The Church of the Nazarene, serving on the church board, singing in the choir & served as a sound technician. He was also a volunteer with International Aid & instructed at the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District Tech Center.

Survivors:

Wife, Phyllis; 2 daughters, Sherry John Simpson of Ypsilanti, MI & Char Carlos Seise of Grand Haven, MI; 5 grandchildren, Emmanuel & Carlos Seise, Alexis, Tanner & Sawyer Jacobs; 3 sisters, Ruth Dolphin of Grand Haven, MI, Dora Rose Twining of Muskegon, MI & Flora May Nies of Holland, MI; 1 brother, Lloyd Dolphin of Grand Haven, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents & by a daughter, Monique Dolphin.

Service:

Friday, January 3, 2003, 1:00 pm at The Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Gary Reiss officiating. Interment at Lakeshore Cemetery.

Visitation:

Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Clock Funeral Home. Memorial: Church of the Nazarene or Salvation Army.
