Melissa Dawn Todd, age 29, was taken home in the arms of our Lord on Friday, September 28, 2001, surrounded by her family and friends at Spectrum Health. She was born on November 25, 1971 in Holland, MI to M. Dean & Candy Newberry Todd. Melissa was a member of the graduating class of West Ottawa High School in 1989 & also received her Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences from Grand Valley State University in 1994. Brenner Oil Company employed Melissa as Office Manager in Human Resources. She was also proprietor of Accurate Administrative Services. Melissa enjoyed traveling, shopping, ceramics, reading & spending time with her friends & family.
SURVIVORS
Melissa is survived by M. Dean & Candy Todd of West Olive; sister, Kim Jan & Cameron Curtis of Grand Haven; grandmothers, Katie Todd of Pontotoc, MS & Helen Newberry of White Cloud; many aunts, uncles & cousins. Her special friend, Steve Cook of Hamilton, MI survives her. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, O.M. Todd & V.L. Newberry.
SERVICE
The funeral service for Melissa will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Haven Shores Community Church, 9608 Hiawatha and Fillmore Grand Haven with Rev. David Bailey officiating.
VISITATION
Friends may meet with the family Monday, 6-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home, 16777 Lincoln St., Grand Haven, MI. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation of America.
