Mr. George R. Hoffman, age 61, died Monday, September 24, 2001. He was born in Traverse City, MI on March 9, 1940 to Raymond Virtle & Virginia Ruth Cornell Hoffman & married the former Janet Poort on May 23, 1998. Mr. Hoffman had been employed as a Lift Truck Driver at Nelson Metals of Grand Rapids for 36 years prior to his retirement in 1996. He was an avid hunter, fisherman & enjoyed wildlife & the outdoors.
SURVIVORS
Wife, Janet; son, Brian Kelly Hoffman of Ravenna; 2 stepsons, Randall Charlene Midkiff & Eric Midkiff, both of Twin Lake; stepdaughter, Shelly Lambkin of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; his father-in-law, Richard L. Poort II; a sister, Julia Larry Buys of Muskegon as well as several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Hoffman.
SERVICE
According to his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. MEMORIAL: Charity of Choice.
