Mr. Gerald ''Jerry'' J. Jeffery, age 70, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2001. He was born in Belding, MI on May 19, 1931 to Joseph & LuLu Olger Jeffery & married the former Yvonne Burrington on May 25, 1956. He lived in Muskegon most of his life. Jerry was a Veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Precision Tool Company. Jerry had been active in the Boy Scouts of America for over 50 years having served as Cubmaster, Scoutmaster & as a Round Table Commissioner. He was a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, had received hid Woodbadge Beads & was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Jerry was a member of the First Free Methodist Church. He was a person devoted to his family & friends, was loved by all who knew him & shared a close relationship with the members of his family.

SURVIVORS

Wife, Yvonne; Children, Barbara Russell Strait, Joseph Leeann Jeffery, LuAnn Jeffery, Kathy Jeffery & Susan Charles Anderson, all of Muskegon; grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Rebecca & Meghan Strait; Joshua, Sarah, Jason & Amy Jeffery; Adam Anderson; two great-grandsons, Christopher Smith & Zachary Strait; 1 sister, Dorothy Robert Peterson of Montague; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Thomas Jeffery & a grandson, Andrew Killian.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

Wednesday, July 25, 2001, 11:00 AM at First Free Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Zimmerman officiating. There will be no visitation. MEMORIAL: First Free Methodist Church Building Fund.
