MUSCATINE, Iowa - Jason Matthew Lewis, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home.

Jason was born on September 1, 1982 in Fairfield, Illinois, the son of Maggie (Mike) Stone and Rick Lewis.

Jason graduated from Muscatine High School in 2001. He received his welding certificate in 2003 from the Blong Center. He was employed at Teos Towing in Davenport as a mechanic and tow truck driver. He was very proud to be a volunteer with the Wheatland Fire Department. His greatest joys were his two sons, Brandon and Cameron. He also enjoyed racing, fishing, and spending time with family.

Jason is survived and lovingly remembered by his children, Brandon Stubrud and Cameron Lewis, of Muscatine; his parents, Maggie (Mike) Stone of Muscatine, Rick Lewis of Dardanelle, AR; his sister Carissa (Jesse) Miller and their children, Connor Lewis, Caiden Miller, Cruze Miller, all of Muscatine. Other siblings, Elaine (Donnie) Frazier of Louisville, IL, John Fender of Rogers AR, Amy (Bill) Walters of Louisville, Wayne (Bonnie) Fender of Louisville, Joni (Kris) Niemerg of Teutopolis, IL, and Darrick (Michele) Fender of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his lifelong best friend, Rick Curtis.
