Marlene Grinde
October 15, 1946 - August 28, 2019

Marlene Grinde, of Antigo, died Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at home under the care of her family Pastika Independent Living Services and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 72 years old. She was born on October 15, 1946, in Two Rivers, daughter of Norman and Evelyn (Graycarek) Gauthier. She married Paul Grinde on June 20, 1970, in Two Rivers. He survives.

She was raised in Two Rivers where she attended St. Lukes and Holy Redeemer grade schools then graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1964.

After high school Marlene worked as a customer service representative for Paragon Electric in Two Rivers for six years. Following marriage the family lived in several Wisconsin communities including Plymouth, Beaver Dam, Green Bay, Rothschild and Athens before moving to Antigo in 1996.

Marlene was active in community service while in Antigo. She was a volunteer at Aspirus Langlade Hospital and a member of their auxiliary, served as a board member of AVAIL, member of the Good News Group in Wausau and served as an election inspector for the city of Antigo. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Antigo.

Survivors including her husband Paul are a daughter, Jill (James) Benware, San Tan Valley, Arizona; three grandchildren Colin, Ella and Haley; a brother-in-law, Ralph (Elaine Thielemann) Grinde, Cat Springs, Texas; two nieces, Julie Grinde, Bryan, Texas, Donna (George) Autobee, San Antonio, Texas; great-niece and nephew, Mia and Joseph Autobee.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordon and Bertha Grinde; sister-in-law Corinne Grinde.

The funeral Mass will celebrated on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Entombment will take place in Knollwood Memorial Park, Manitowoc.

Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. on Monday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. A parish wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday also at the funeral home.
